Description

Eosense is a product company that helps academia and industry visualize and measure greenhouse gases to manage climate change impacts. We design and build weatherproof gas monitoring devices for research and industrial applications, focusing on emissions from soil. We are seeking enthusiastic candidates for the position of Sales Associate, focusing on communicating the value of Eosense products to early stage leads in the North American and European markets. Candidates should enjoy working in a fast-paced and multi-disciplinary environment; have a good foundation in science, excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail. 

What you'll do

Responsibilities

The candidate will focus on early stage leads in the Academic market, primarily within North America and Europe. The tasks will range from contacting individuals who have reached out to Eosense for the first time, to providing pricing information and supporting the leads in proposal preparation, culminating in confirming whether those proposals are successful and closing or helping other colleagues to close the sale. In addition, the candidate will work with the Fulfillment Manager ensure that orders are transferred to production accurately, and work to keep the customer up to date on the progress of their order. The candidate will also assist in some post-sale activities, including post-sale support, executing customer interviews and customer satisfaction surveys. 

Activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Sales efforts
    • Focus on direct sales opportunities in North America and Europe
    • Developing email sequences to maintain communication with leads.
    • Contacting leads to get updates on proposal submissions, and internal buy-in among collaborators.
    • Email and phone communication with late stage marketing leads.
    • Monitoring funding announcements for news of customers, or potential leads being funded.
    • Attend conferences in a sales capacity, as well as occasionally in presentor capacity.
  • Sales support and administration
    • Quote, Invoice, and confirm Order Receipt with Customers
    • Place orders with Production
  • Customer follow up, interviews and account management surveys
    • Ensure customers are happy with equipment, direct questions to support and other functions as needed.
    • Deploy customer surveys
    • Execute phone interviews
    • Compile results for reporting

What you'll need

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Science or Engineering, with preference toward environmental or life sciences (others degrees will be considered)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including ability to communicate highly technical information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, experience with CRM software is an asset.
  • Past sales experience an asset
  • Proficiency in English, other languages an asset
  • Ability to travel globally up to 40% of the time
