The Computer Vision Software Developer will contribute to the development of an image classification system for agriculture. The ideal candidate will be driven by their own creativity and ingenuity and a curiosity and passion to pioneer the capabilities of tomorrow's state-of-the-art machine-learning and image-processing solutions in today's emerging precision-agriculture industry. This role requires a robust understanding of the theory and practice of computer-vision techniques and the related fields of algorithm development, including object detection, classification, and pattern recognition, and statistical data analysis. Strong communication skills are essential for this role. The Computer Vision Scientist will be expected to write reports and create presentations to share findings and results with a wide range of stakeholders, as well as contribute to ongoing technical and conceptual discussions. As a key member of a multidisciplinary software team, the Computer Vision Scientist will be comfortable addressing challenges both individually and in a team setting and will also be required to interface with team members to facilitate seamless software integration.



  • Develop algorithms to detect, classify, and track objects of interest
  • Create experiments to test algorithm performance (e.g., accuracy and resource usage)
  • Participate in strategic discussions relating to image processing and optimization
  • Document, organize, and disseminate information regarding developed algorithms
